Welcome to Allotments for Schools (Leeds)
Launching as a pilot project in 2027 (North East Leeds)
Our vision - An educational system where all children can experience the joy of growing their own foods.
Our mission - We believe every child should have the opportunity to get their hands dirty, discover the wonders of nature and learn where their food comes from.
Our project will provide practical support to primary schools in Leeds helping them give children opportunities to plant, grow and harvest food. Whether through growing spaces within school grounds or access to off-site allotments, we want to make hands-on outdoor learning accessible to more children.
Our pilot project will help us explore how we can bring these opportunities to more schools and young people.
Help us grow something special - Are you a school interested in taking part, a volunteer or allotment that want to help deliver our vision, or a business that would like to support our work? Click below to find out more.
